Quiche Lorraine Recipe

Ingredients for Crust:

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon table salt
7 Tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cut into pieces
1-2 Tablespoons ice water (more if needed)

In an electric food processor combine flour, butter and salt. Slowly process ingredients until they become coarse and crumbly. Using the feeding tube, gradually add the ice water and pulse 5 or 6 times until a dough forms.

The dough is completely mixed when it begins to pull away from the sides of the processor. Remove dough and make it into a ball. Flatten dough into a disc and cover it with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate for at least an hour. When dough is completely chilled, roll it out onto a lightly floured surface. Lay it into a pie pan and return it to the refrigerator. Meanwhile, make the quiche Lorraine recipe.

6 oz thick cut bacon, cut into narrow strips
2 large eggs
